Chemical Peels
Chemical peels involve the careful application of a chemical exfoliant to the skin specifically for the removal of superficial blemishes and for smoothing the appearance of fine wrinkles. The nature of the compound, the concentration of the chemical and the level of time it is in contact with your skin will determine the level of penetration and peeling. This is a cost-effective treatment which will improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, scars, acne and hyperpigmentation. In addition, following a course of peels, skin is smoother, plumper and tighter. For young skin, glycolic acid peels can be used as a preventative measure to make skin glow, to allow more even application of make-up, or even eliminate the need for make-up entirely.
A Glycolic Acid peel is subtle, with very little obvious peeling, designed for very superficial skin problems. A TCA (trichloracetic acid) peel is a medium depth peel, during which you will see visible peeling with remarkable results. Both types of chemical peels are suitable for Asian skin.
